"Naturally Nepal" promotion in Washington DC

There is no doubt that Nepal is one of the few naturally gifted countries in the whole world. With different species, unique herbs, lakes, mountains and many more. Still, many people around the world don’t know that a country called Nepal exists.

Globally, Nepal has been promoting itself as “NATURALLY NEPAL” and this is indeed a very true , since Nepal is still in its natural state and tourist visiting from different nation can feel the difference . However, every citizens of Nepal should feel responsible to promote their country and above all the government who holds the power and capacity to promote.

One of the most successful promotion activities has been done by the Nepali Embassy in Washington.They took an initiative to promote Nepal by placing promotional posters of Nepal Tourism Year 2011.

About thirty public transportation vehicles in Washington DC have been adorned with NTY 2011 posters to promote the tourism year 2011.Nepal has never promoted itself in the international tourist generating counties, except for few road show , but now its slowly promoting Nepal to generate more tourist and positive impact in global world.

Between January and June — the six months — observed international tourist arrivals via air to Nepal grow by 25 per cent to 245,363 in aggregate but the country has set a target of one million tourists this year under Nepal Tourism Year 2011 campaign.

However, this is one of positive step taken by the Nepali embassy in Washington DC for promoting Nepal.
