Gorakhpur, Lumbini, Muktinath, Jomsom, Pokhara, and Kathmandu is a widespread pilgrimage routes for both Hindus and Buddhists. This tour takes you over some of the most beautiful and culturally significant destinations in Nepal.
The tour starts in Gorakhpur, a city in Uttar Pradesh, India. From there, you will proceed to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha and one of the most important pilgrimage sites for Buddhists. The city is home to several monasteries and temples, including the Maya Devi Temple, which is believed to be the exact spot where Lord Buddha was born.
Next, you will head to Pokhara, a city located on the banks of Phewa Lake. The city is surrounded by beautiful mountains, including the Annapurna range, making it a perfect destination for trekking and adventure activities. Pokhara is also home to several temples and monasteries, including the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist stupa built by Japanese Buddhist monks.
The tour then proceeds to Jomsom, a town located in the Mustang district of Nepal. From Jomsom, you will drive to Muktinath Temple, which is situated at an altitude of 3,710 meters in the Mustang district. The temple is an important pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists, and it is believed that a visit to the temple will grant you salvation from the cycle of birth and death. The temple is home to several sacred shrines, including a shrine dedicated to Lord Vishnu, one of the most important deities in Hinduism.
After visiting Muktinath, you will return to Jomsom for an overnight stay before flying back to Pokhara. From Pokhara, you will proceed to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Kathmandu is home to several important temples and monasteries, including the Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most important Hindu temples in the world. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is located on the banks of the Bagmati River.
In addition to its religious significance, Kathmandu is also a vibrant and culturally rich city, with plenty of opportunities to explore its history and traditions. Some of the popular tourist attractions in the city include Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa (also known as the Monkey Temple), and Boudhanath Stupa.
