Itinerary

  1. Day 01 Arrival at Kathmandu

    You will be welcomed by our staff standing with your name card in the airport arrival terminal and transferred to your hotel by a private vehicle. Your hotel is in the middle of the city. You will have nothing planned for the day, so take a rest and gather the energy to walk on the trails. Else, if you have some personal gears to buy, you can go shopping in the Market in the evening. There will be a small meeting about the trek in the evening. You will spend a night in a hotel.

  2. Day 02 Kathmandu and trek preparation, Permits Procedure

    After enjoying breakfast, you have the option to spend your day exploring the many famous sights around Kathmandu. The city has a unique charm in the early morning as it slowly comes to life, but still remains relatively peaceful. You can choose to have a free day or take advantage of our offer to provide a knowledgeable, English-speaking guide who can lead you to some of the most significant sites and explain their history.
    Optional day tours:
    We offer a variety of optional day tours to choose from, including the Sacred Sites of the Valley, a full-day excursion to visit Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and also visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Boudhanath, and see the world's largest spherical stupa, or explore the largest and most sacred Hindu temple in Nepal.
    For those who want to venture outside of the city, a 30-minute drive will take you to the ancient city of Bhaktapur, known for its medieval art and wood carving. You can also go hiking or mountain biking in the scenic Shivapuri National Park, located on the northern edge of the Kathmandu Valley.
    After your day's adventure, you'll return to your hotel in the early evening where you'll meet with our specialist or one of their staff members who will provide you with a detailed briefing of your upcoming trip, including what to expect and transportation logistics.

  3. Day 03 Kathmandu To Bhandara (Drive)

    As you continue your journey from Lamosangu towards Bhandara, you'll be treated to breathtaking views of the mid-hills and the scenic landscapes of Nepal. The road trip will offer you glimpses of various settlements, ranging from dense to sparse, as you pass through different areas. One notable stop along the way is Charikot, a town that offers panoramic viewpoints of the surrounding hills and valleys. You can take a break here, stretch your legs, and enjoy the picturesque vistas before continuing your drive.
    Jiri is another place where you can make a stop. It is a small town known as the gateway to Everest. From Jiri, you can catch stunning views of the Himalayan ranges on a clear day. You can also explore the local market and grab some lunch to refuel for the rest of your journey. After leaving Jiri, you'll proceed towards Bhandar, enjoying the changing scenery and diverse vegetation. The road will take you through patches of forests, where you might come across blooming rhododendrons in some areas, while others are dominated by pine trees. The mix of various trees adds to the beauty of the landscape. Throughout the 9-hour journey, the hilly roads of Nepal will captivate you with their natural beauty and glimpses of rural life. Remember to take breaks whenever needed, appreciate the surroundings, and make the most of this memorable road trip.

  4. Day 04 Bhandara To Sete

    On the first day of the trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp, you begin by having breakfast and embarking on your journey towards Sete. The trek starts with a downhill trail, leading you through cool forest shades and gradual descents. As you descend, you'll notice a significant change in vegetation, transitioning to the subtropical climate of the valley.
    During the trek, you'll cross a stream and pass by rice paddy fields, adding to the picturesque scenery. After trekking for about 3 to 4 hours, you'll arrive at Kenja village. From this village, you can enjoy a view of the majestic Numbur peaks to the north, providing a glimpse of the stunning mountain vistas that lie ahead. After taking in the mountain views at Kenja, the journey continues with a long climb up to Lamjura Hill. The initial part of the ascent is quite steep, taking you through numerous farmhouses and terraced fields. Along the way, you'll be rewarded with excellent views of the surrounding landscapes, showcasing the natural beauty of the region.
    Finally, after the challenging climb, you'll reach Sete, a small Sherpa village located on the ridge amidst rhododendron and pine woodlands. Sete offers a tranquil and scenic setting, surrounded by the lush vegetation of the area.   5. Day 05 Sete To Jun Beshi

    On the second day of the trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp, you begin your journey after having breakfast, heading towards Junbesi. The trek starts with a long but gradual climb to the Lamjura Pass, situated at an altitude of 3,530 meters. As you ascend, you may witness frost and snow along the trail during winter, while spring offers a delightful display of blooming rhododendrons.
    The Lamjura Pass is the highest point between Jiri and Namche Bazaar, and reaching this milestone is a rewarding experience. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes and mountains, taking in the beauty of the Himalayas. Continuing from the pass, the trail descends through the forested area, providing a refreshing and cooling atmosphere. After approximately one and a half hours, you'll reach Taktor and further proceed to Thaktok Village. As you move northward through the valley, you'll eventually arrive at the Sherpa village of Junbesi.
    Junbesi is a picturesque Sherpa village nestled in a pleasant valley, offering a serene and tranquil setting. Upon reaching Junbesi, you can take the opportunity to explore the town, immersing yourself in the local culture and experiencing the traditional Sherpa way of life. Additionally, you have the option to hike and visit the Thupten Chholing Monastery, a sacred Buddhist site in the area. Another notable attraction is a school built by Sir Edmund Hillary, a renowned mountaineer and philanthropist. Junbesi provides a peaceful stop along the trek, allowing you to rest, appreciate the natural surroundings, and engage with the local community. It is a chance to soak in the beauty of the village and learn more about the Sherpa culture before continuing your journey towards Everest Base Camp.

  6. Day 06 Jun Beshi To Nunthala

    On this day of the trek from Jiri to Everest Base Camp, you will embark on a long journey to Nunthala. Starting early in the morning from Junbesi, the trail takes you through various landmarks and scenic viewpoints. From Junbesi, the trail initially leads to the hospital and the airstrip at Phaplu, as well as the district headquarters and a small market at Salleri. To continue towards Khumbu and Everest Base Camp, you follow the left-hand trail that goes uphill and turns north towards Salung. Salung is a popular viewpoint where, on a clear day, you can catch your first glimpse of Mount Everest towards the northeast. As you ascend to a ridge at 3,080 meters, the majestic Everest slowly reveals itself before your eyes, creating an awe-inspiring sight.
    Continuing the trek, you cross the Junbesi Khola (river). Shortly after crossing the bridge, you'll come across a trail junction. Following the path that leads through shepherds' huts and a hidden route in a dense forest, you'll encounter several scenic streams, crossing them via wooden bridges. The trail takes you through ancient Buddhist Chortens (stupas) and Mani walls, adding a spiritual touch to the journey. As you ascend further, you'll reach Takshindu La at 3,071 meters, marked by prayer flags fluttering in the wind.
    After Takshindu La, the trail gradually descends, leading you to cross the suspension bridge of Ringmo Khola. From there, you ascend to the village of Ringmo, where you can admire extraordinary examples of Tibetan architecture. Continuing the descent, you pass through one more dense forest teeming with life before finally reaching Nunthala. Nunthala is a quaint village nestled amidst the natural beauty of the Himalayas.   7. Day 07 Nunthala To Bupsa(2,360 m)

    After having breakfast, you embark on the next leg of your trek. The trail leads you downhill, gradually descending towards the Dudhkoshi River, aptly named the Milk River due to its foaming white rapids. As you cross the suspension bridge that spans the river at an elevation of 1,510 meters, you'll witness the power and beauty of the rushing waters. From the bridge, you turn north and continue your trek towards Bupsa. The trail meanders through terraced fields and passes by the yards of local houses, providing glimpses into the rural way of life. Walking through forests, you gradually ascend upon terraces until you reach the Rai village of Jubing at an elevation of 1,680 meters. The path then takes you around a ridge, offering scenic views, and leads you to the village of Khari Khola.
    From Khari Khola, you must push on and tackle a steep hill, climbing for approximately 45 minutes, until you reach Bupsa at an elevation of 2,360 meters. Bupsa is a small village nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of the Himalayas. Take some time to rest, rejuvenate, and soak in the natural beauty surrounding you. Enjoy the tranquil atmosphere and prepare yourself for the next stage of the trek. This part of the journey presents you with a mix of terraced fields, forested paths, and challenging ascents.   8. Day 08 Bupsa To Surke (2,290m)

    After having breakfast, you begin your trek towards Surke. The trail starts with an uphill climb through a forest, leading you to Bhumsing village. As you continue on the northern side of the valley, you'll make your way to Puiyan village, also known as Chuthok, via the Khari La pass at an elevation of 3,145 meters. Along the way, you'll notice the air becoming cooler as you enter the Khumbu region from Bupsa Danda.
    From Puiyan, the trail continues on a long and winding path with gentle ups and downs. You'll trek through bamboo bushes in the forest, experiencing the natural beauty of the surroundings. After a 4 to 5-hour walk from Bupsa, you'll reach the small settlement of Surke Village at an elevation of 2,290 meters. It's worth noting that there is now road access to Bupsa Danda, and during the dry season, it is possible to drive from Kathmandu to Bupsa via Salleri for the entire day. The local government has also planned to extend the road to Chaurikharka within the next two years.

  9. Day 09 Surke To Phakding(2,610m)

    After enjoying breakfast, you continue your trek with an ascent towards the settlement of Chiplung. The trail from Surke merges with the main trail from Lukla as you make your way to Chiplung. Along the way, you pass through small villages, witnessing the local way of life and experiencing the cultural richness of the region. As you trek, there will be a mix of gentle uphills and downhills, gradually leading you to Tarhe Khola.
    From Tarhe Khola, you'll have a vantage point to observe numerous trekkers returning from various destinations such as Lukla, Everest Base Camp, and Gokyo. This section of the trail becomes busier with trekkers, porters, and pack animals. As you continue, you'll encounter several hours of scenic walking that will eventually lead you to Phakding at an elevation of 2,610 meters. The path follows the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, passing through Chhelung and Ghat, allowing you to enjoy the serene beauty of the surroundings.
    Phakding is a popular stopping point for trekkers, and you'll find lodges, teahouses, and facilities to rest and recharge. Take your time to relax, appreciate the natural surroundings, and interact with fellow trekkers who have embarked on similar journeys. Tomorrow, you'll continue your trek towards Namche Bazaar, the gateway to the Everest region. Enjoy the peaceful ambiance of Phakding and prepare for the next leg of your adventure.

  10. Day 10 Phakding To Namche Bazaar

    After enjoying a hearty breakfast at your hotel, you will embark on your exciting trek to Namche Bazaar, the first stop on your journey to Everest Base Camp. The uphill climb can be challenging, but the stunning scenery, crisp mountain air, and anticipation of reaching your destination will keep you motivated. As you trek along the northern bank of the Dudh Koshi River, you will cross several suspension bridges, including the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.
    The trail will lead you through dense forests, charming traditional villages with terraced fields, and serene yak pastures. As you reach Namche Bazaar, a vibrant Sherpa town, you can indulge in some last-minute shopping. You will find a range of shops, cafes, cybercafés, hotels, lodges, guest houses, banks, ATMs, money exchanges, and bustling local markets to cater to all your needs.

  11. Day 11 Rest day and acclimatization at Namche Bazaar.

    To allow your body to acclimatize to the high altitude, we have scheduled a much-needed break day in Namche Bazaar. This day will provide you with the necessary rest to prepare for the upcoming challenges of trekking to higher altitudes.
    During your stay in Namche, your experienced guide will take you to explore the local area. You will visit the Sherpa Museum, which was established by Sir Edmund Hillary as a token of gratitude for the support he received from the Sherpa community during his successful ascent of Mt. Everest. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to visit the school that was built in Khumjung village by Sir Hillary.
    To help you adjust to the high altitude, we will also take short treks to the nearby villages of Thame and Khumjung. As you hike uphill, you will have breath-taking views of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Thamserku, Khumbila, and Kwangde. After an eventful day, you will spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse in Namche.

  12. Day 12 Namche To Tengboche

    After breakfast, we will leave Namche and head to Tengboche. The route from Namche to Tengboche route is unbelievably beautiful, there are not many steep ascents and descents today which gives plenty of time to concentrate on photography! The trail up to Tengboche is a dusty switchback route but Woods, rhododendron forests, mani walls, chorten (stupas), and suspension bridges across the river make this a lovely walk. If you are lucky you will be able to attend a service, for which a small donation would be appreciated. You can light some butter lamps. Tonight, you will spend a night at Tengboche at a locally operated guest house.

  13. Day 13 Tengboche To Dingboche

    After breakfast, the trek to Dingboche begins, offering both scenic and challenging terrain. Following the Imja River, we traverse through stunning mountain views and picturesque landscapes towards the high-altitude Sherpa village of Dingboche. Passing through Pangboche village with its dramatic mountain backdrop and fields of potato, barley, and buckwheat, we approach the Summer Valley of Dingboche, the highest Sherpa settlement in the Khumbu Region. After reaching Dingboche, the rest of the afternoon is yours to unwind with a book or bask in the glory of the surrounding mountains.

  14. Day 14 Rest day and Acclimatization Day in Dingboche.

    At Dingboche, it is highly recommended to take an additional acclimatization day to ensure that your body is properly adjusted to the high altitude. Although some trekkers may choose to skip this rest day, it is always wise to take a break and recharge at an elevation of 4,410 m/14,465ft above sea level. Compared to the other side of Pheriche, Dingboche is relatively warmer. If you feel up to it, you can opt for a day trip to Nangkar Tshang, which sits at an impressive altitude of 5,616 m and offers breathtaking views of Mt. Makalu, the fifth-highest mountain in the world..

  15. Day 15 Dingboche To Lobuche

    Following breakfast, our trek commences with a gentle ascent towards the Pheriche Valley and summer yak pastures. As we near the end of the moraine of the Khumbu Glacier, you may start feeling the trek becoming more strenuous. It is crucial to communicate any discomfort or symptoms of altitude sickness with your guide. The trail will gradually become more rugged and snowy as we climb above the treeline, leaving behind the lush green hills.
    As we make our way towards Lobuche, you will notice the absence of permanent Sherpa settlements in the area. However, the breathtaking views of towering mountains will keep you company along the way. The Tea Houses nestled amidst the stunning landscape offer a perfect vantage point to admire the majestic Nuptse and enjoy the awe-inspiring sunset.

  16. Day 16 Lobuche To Gorakshep (Afternoon hike to EBC)

    Today is the day you've been waiting for! The highlight of the trek is the journey to Everest Base Camp (5,364m), which provides the closest view of Mt. Everest for non-climbers. The trek follows the left bank of Khumbu Glacier, and includes a steep climb up to Changri Glacier followed by a short descent to reach Gorak Shep. This stretch takes about two and a half hours to complete. After taking a lunch break and dropping off our belongings, we'll embark on an excursion to Everest Base Camp (5,364m). Many hikers opt to trek up to Kalapattar to catch the stunning sunset view of Mt. Everest instead of hiking to base camp on the same day. Those who choose this option can explore Everest Base Camp the next day before trekking back to Pheriche.

  17. Day 17 Gorakshep To Pheriche (Morning Hike to Kala Patthar)

    If we didn't make it to Kalapatthar yesterday, but if that's the case, we'll tackle it this morning. Weather permitting, of course. The trek to Kalapatthar begins early in the morning and takes about 3-4 hours to complete. At the top of this narrow hill, you'll find the most spectacular views of Everest that Nepal has to offer. Keep in mind, this is the highest altitude you can reach in Nepal without a climbing permit. We'll return to Gorakshep for breakfast before heading to Pheriche. The hike to Pheriche takes around 4 hours and once there, you can take in the sights of this small settlement. Be sure to check out the Himalayan Rescue Association clinic, which offers services to trekkers and climbers experiencing altitude sickness or other altitude-related health issues. After dinner, you can retire to your room and rest up.

  18. Day 18 Pheriche To Namche Bazaar

    Today marks the end of your unforgettable trekking journey as we head back to the lively Sherpa Town of Namche. Though the trail descends considerably today, there are still some uphill sections to tackle. We make our way down gradually, passing through charming communities like Orsho, Somare, Pangboche, and Tengboche, all while soaking in the breathtaking mountain views that still surround us.
    Once we arrive at Namche, you can enjoy a refreshing hot shower and relax for the rest of the day. If you'd like, your guide can take you to some local cafes where you can indulge in freshly baked cookies or your favourite coffee. This is also the perfect opportunity to celebrate your successful trek to Everest. With Wi-Fi service available, you can touch base with loved ones back home and even upload a few photos of your trip.

  19. Day 19 Namche To Lukla

    Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before embarking on the final leg of your trek. The journey takes you through the famous Hillary Suspension Bridge, a thrilling experience in itself. As you continue trekking, you will pass through several charming local villages, soaking in the sights and sounds of the Khumbu region. Finally, you will arrive at Lukla, where you will spend your last evening at a Tea House. It's a time to celebrate your achievement with your trekking crew, who have been your companions and supporters throughout your journey. As you reflect on your experiences and the challenges you've overcome, you may experience mixed emotions, but you can take pride in the fact that you have accomplished something truly remarkable.

  20. Day 20 Lukla to Kathmandu (Flight)

    As you start your day with breakfast, you prepare to bid adieu to the breathtaking views of Mount Everest and the Khumbu Region. Depending on the operational airport and weather conditions, we will either return to Kathmandu for brunch or in the early afternoon. The flight from Lukla will offer you another sight of the highest mountains, and you can recognize most of them through your window.
    After arriving in Kathmandu, we will take you to your respective hotels. You can spend the rest of the day as your liking.
    Note: Due to ongoing upgrades at Kathmandu Airport, flights to and from Lukla are currently departing and arriving from Ramechhap. It takes approximately 4 to 6 hours to drive back to Kathmandu from Ramechhap, depending on traffic conditions..

  21. Day 21 Final departure

    Breakfast at the hotel. Free & easy until the representative of our team will transfer you to the airport and depart to your own country.
