Annapurna Sanctuary Trek

The Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is a popular 2-week hiking journey that takes you through one of the most spectacular landscapes in Nepal. The trek starts from a hidden alpine amphitheatre and leads to the base camp of Annapurna. One of the most recommended ways to reach the sanctuary is through the Poon Hill itinerary, which is graded as a moderate plus on its difficulty level. This trek offers a chance to explore varied climatic conditions, from subtropical to alpine, and a wonderful variety of flora and fauna that change accordingly. The area is like a live and open museum, exhibiting a landscape of cultivated terrace fields and lush forests of oaks, magnolia, and rhododendron trees. Moreover, the trek is a great opportunity to experience different ethnic groups and cultures found along the trail.

One of the most breathtaking aspects of this trek is the panoramic sunrise view of the fabulous Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, which is considered the cherry on top of the trekking route. It is a magical moment that every trekker should experience. Additionally, the trekking route is filled with natural wonders such as cascading waterfalls, deep gorges, and panoramic mountain vistas, which add to the beauty of the trek. In short, the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek is a must-do trek for any adventure lover seeking to explore the natural beauty of the Annapurna region in Nepal.

As hard as it may be, we'll eventually have to tear ourselves away from the awe-inspiring sight and return to our lodge in Ghorepani for a well-deserved breakfast. Once we've refuelled, we'll continue our journey towards Tadapani. The trail starts off steep, but once we cross the Deurali Pass, the path becomes much more forgiving.
