Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is located just close to the regular Langtang valley area trekking route which is not the regular travelers trail. The region has densely populates Tibetan origin groups Tamang and living with their own traditional way of life generation to generation. Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is newly opened for trekkers to explore and experience its local cultural heritage to add their Nepal trekking more interesting and joyful. Trekking to this region trekkers can also see stunning views of snow capped mountains and abundant of wildlife- bears, leopards, red panda’s and musk deer etc. In March and April the Rhododendron forests have many different species of trees, birds and butterflies while trekking you can discover the rough history of the Tibetan ancestors. The valley offers pine forest, swift mountain streams, rugged rock and snow- capped peaks, grassy downs and meadows strewn with daisies and wild primula as real nomad sceneries. Along the trek trekkers get chance to discover the route history of the Tibetan ancestors those had been migrated long time ago. Their descendants are now Buddhists and living on agriculture and trade. They dress colorful and their houses are adorned with beautiful woodcarvings which are now became main attraction for travelers.

Tamang Heritage Trail Trek Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel, rest and personal activities and trekking preparation.
Day 2: Guided sightseeing in Kathmandu valley includes the Hindu temple complex at Pashupatinath (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) & the biggest Buddhist Stupa at Boudhanath. Also visit famous Monkey Temple Swyambhunath which is 2000 years old temple visit after visit Patan city main center of Nepalese traditional arts and back to hotel O/n.
Day 3: Drive Kathmandu to Syabrubeshi (1460m), By jeep or local bus, which will take around 10-12 hours. Overnight in guesthouses
Day 4: Trek Syaprubeshi to goljung (1960m), hiking takes around 5 hours overnight camping.
Day 5: Trek Goljung to Gatlang (2240m), hiking about 4 hours
Day 6: Trek Gatlang to Tatopani (2240m), the day we have to walk quite long (about 6 hours)
Day 7: Trek Totopani to Nagthali / Thuman (2000m), Around 6 hourshiking. Camping overnight.
Day 8: Trek Thuman to Rasuwagadhi (2240m), about 7 hours of walking camping.
Day 9: Trek Rasuwagadhi to Briddim (2290m) hiking around 6 hours.
Day 10: Rest for exploring day in Briddim and enjoy beautiful sceneries and local culture
Day 11: Trek Briddim to Syabrubeshi, hiking around 4 hours.
Day 12: Drive Syaprubeshi to Kathmandu by local bus
Day 13: Free day in Kathmandu, Evening joing Nepali diner with cultural show, hotel
Day 14: Final departure , transfer to airport.
