The Guge Kingdom survived about 700 years and disappeared mysteriously in the 17th century. TSAPARANG & TOLING were the capital of The Guge country in Western Tibet. The old city is a fairy tale castle of caves and passageways honeycombed in a tall ridge of ancient deposits. Their walls are a museum of superb mural art. After collapsing the Tubo Kingdom the King Lang Darma escaped from the Lhasa and established his new country. The Guge Kingdom survived about 700 years and disappeared mysteriously in the 17th century. But its outstanding remains are still well preserved among of them monasteries, stupas, White Palace, Red Palace, Yamantaka Chapel, Tara Chapel and Mandala Chapel all still exist in good condition.
